TZATZIKI

Preparation time 15 minutes and ready to eat 15 minutes

For best results eat after chilling in the fridge for 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 500g Greek natural yoghurt

  • 1 cucumber

  • 4 cloves garlic

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp wine vinegar

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt & pepper

Preperation

  1. Coarsely grate the cucumber with the peel and squeeze out all the liquid and put into a bowl with the greek yoghurt.

  2. Grate the garlic ( don’t crush ) and add the yoghurt mixture.

  3. Add the lemon juice , vinegar , olive oil and salt and pepper to the yoghurt mixture and leave in the fridge for 1 hour.

  4. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil on top and an olive to decorate.

Tips

This famous Greek salad dip is delicious served with pitta bread or carrot and cucumber sticks.

A great accompaniment to grilled meats , vegetables and rice dishes.
