TZATZIKI
Preparation time 15 minutes and ready to eat 15 minutes
For best results eat after chilling in the fridge for 1 hour
Ingredients
500g Greek natural yoghurt
1 cucumber
4 cloves garlic
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp wine vinegar
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper
Preperation
Coarsely grate the cucumber with the peel and squeeze out all the liquid and put into a bowl with the greek yoghurt.
Grate the garlic ( don’t crush ) and add the yoghurt mixture.
Add the lemon juice , vinegar , olive oil and salt and pepper to the yoghurt mixture and leave in the fridge for 1 hour.
Serve with a drizzle of olive oil on top and an olive to decorate.
Tips
This famous Greek salad dip is delicious served with pitta bread or carrot and cucumber sticks.
A great accompaniment to grilled meats , vegetables and rice dishes.
